Jaime Korbee (1986, Leiden) is a visual artist and photographer who graduated in photography from the Sint-Lucas Academie in Ghent in 2021. His works are driven by personal emotions, self-exploration and contemplation about the purpose of life. He focuses on themes such as grief, perception of reality and locus of control.

In previous and current works, his starting point is his father’s death, through which he explores the impact of loss on the perception of our surroundings, our memories of the past and life as a whole. He expresses this experience using vivid colors and dreamy lighting, creating mysterious, cinematic scenes from our daily reality.
